Our Philosophy

At Purpose OOSH we aim to teach acceptance and respect – while providing positive, lifelong memories by creating an environment and culture that is welcoming, supportive, stimulating, inclusive and creates a sense of belonging.

We endeavour to make each child feel important and welcome, regardless of their background and social worlds. We believe that OOSH should be a fun and safe place, whereby children have a voice and are involved in decision-making around programming and planning.

At Purpose OOSH we recognise and value the importance of play. We aim to offer a program that provides opportunity for play, which in turn supports children’s learning and development. We do our best to encourage learning through experiences in a fun and friendly environment, reflecting on the children’s diversity, strengths, needs and interests.

We believe in supporting the individual needs of all children and families, therefore we value the input of parents. The diverse backgrounds and cultures of our families are celebrated and we make every effort to involve them in our program. We believe that by working together with our community, we can create a richer, more inclusive environment for everyone.

All educators at Purpose OOSH are expected to be positive role models and be actively involved in facilitating children’s play and learning. We have qualified and experienced staff and ongoing professional development is a priority within our service.

At Purpose OOSH we have a child-focused program based on children’s interests and their curiosity of the world they live in, which is guided by the National Quality Framework and My Time Our Place. We endeavour to provide a high quality service by following and implementing the National Quality Framework.
